About Wilderness Health
Wilderness Health is a collaborative network of healthcare organizations working together to strengthen rural healthcare across Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin. By aligning resources, sharing knowledge, and developing regional programs, we help member organizations improve care access, support their workforce, and build long-term sustainability.

How We Support Rural Healthcare
Wilderness Health develops practical, collaborative solutions that help rural healthcare organizations strengthen care delivery, improve sustainability, and better serve their communities.
Care Coordination
We improve how patients access and move through care locally through programs like Integrated Health Partnership (IHP), HRSA TeleMental Health, and Child & Teen Checkups (CTC).
Shared Services
We help rural healthcare organizations share resources and operational support through collaborative programs including IHP, HRSA TeleMental Health, and EOPI initiatives.
Value-Based Care Models
We support rural providers in transitioning to value-based care through regional collaboration and programs such as IHP and Child & Teen Checkups (CTC).
Workforce Development
We strengthen the rural healthcare workforce through initiatives like IHP, Roundtables, student career pathway programs, education and training cohorts, and EOPI workforce initiatives.
